Guys you don’t understand how awesome this is. This pattern happens everywhere. It happens on flowers and pinecones absolutely vegetables, it happens all around you. If you don’t think that’s like the realist shit ever i don’t understand you.It’s insane how the universe is literally full of beauty to the point that we can’t even see some of it. Beautiful down to the way it moves.

There is totally a reason why these spirals show up so often in nature! The growth pattern is the most efficient manner of packing—for example, you get the most possible florets in the head of a sunflower using this method (look at a giant sunflower; you can see the spirals). Also, fun fact: the number of spirals present in the florets in the head of a sunflower are Fibonacci sequence numbers, as are the number of petals on the flower. Even funner fact: the golden number and the golden angle all play a role in why this pattern occurs naturally so often in so many ways.
